Fantastic Weekend Break

Stayed in Contemporary lodge No 28 Friday 6th – Monday 9th Dec.

The lodge was fantastic, everything you could want/need. The design/layout and decor is really good. Log burner was great, we purchased a bucket from reception with everything we needed in it for the fire for £5.00

Molton Brown products in the rooms were an added extra, along with a bottle of wine, chocolates and biscuits. Hot tub is also amazing, small canopy in the corner which makes it enjoyable even when its throwing it down! We did forget extra towels for the Hotub, so remember to take some for outside as we only had a bath towel each. Not a problem, totallly our fault, forgetting to pack them.

Some extra lighting around the site would be good, we took the dog and when its dark at night it can get abit difficult when going outside away from your cabin. Not a problem though, just take a little torch if you have a dog for when going outside.

To say that we were in a pet friendly cabin it was immaculate, there was even a little dog bowl incase you forgot yours. There are lots of walks/days out really close by which is good, theyre also all dog friendly. We went to Thorseby Hall which we walked to from the site and drove to Clumber Park which is literally 5 min drive. Sherwood forest is also really close. In the summer you could probably walk to most of the surrounding attractions. You can also find all information about local attractions in reception. A few people have mentioned lack of walking maps, We didnt have a problem and found maps for walks around the site itself, and maps for sherwood forest and clumber park etc.

All in all our weekend away was brilliant, i couldnt fault it. We loved it, and would definatley not hesitate in booking to come back!
