Reopening FAQs


  • Are you open for Holiday bookings?

Yes we are open and ready to welcome holidaymakers to The Sherwood Hideaway. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you.

Important Note: Due to the recent lockdown measures in Leicester announced on 29th June, we will not be accepting any new bookings or permitting anyone on park who lives in the affected areas until 18th July.

Please visit to review the latest government information regarding Covid-19. If you or any of your party develop or have any symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your holiday or receive a track and trace alert you must inform us straight away or at least 48 hours before you go. Please also inform us if this occurs within the last 48 hours before departing for your holiday. You will need to check your travel insurance regarding their cancellation guidelines.

  • What if I am travelling with another family, can I still come?

Due to the government announcement 08.09.2020 regarding groups of more than 6 people; we are not able to accept bookings if they are not travelling from the same household or part of a bubble group.  If anyone falls into this category they can add another accommodation to their booking, move, credit or we can refund the booking.

If you have a group booking and they have separate lodges booked you must still adhere to social distancing measures and do not meet up in the same unit of accommodation.

  • How are the lodges cleaned?

Each unit will have been fully cleaned by a member of our team utilising a sanitiser that has been proven to effectively work against the various strains of the coronavirus. New protocols have been put in place to ensure that all touchpoints and surfaces within the unit are effectively cleaned prior to your arrival.

  • What if I need to speak with someone on site?

You will be provided with all the contact details you require prior to your arrival.  There will be a member of the team on park.

  • Can I order an online shopping delivery?

Yes of course, please advise them of your accommodation number when you are provided with it.

  • Can I have guests to my lodge?

We ask that no visitors are invited to the Hideaway, only Owners and holidaymakers.  If you wish to meet with friends, we suggest the nearby Thoresby Park which has a vast amount of open space.

  • Am I able to check in early and request a late check out?

Unfortunately, not at this time.  We are only able to have one member of the team clean each lodge, which makes the time to clean on departure longer and therefore cannot accommodate any early check in or late check outs. We do hope you understand.
