Here you can find a great range of attractions, sure to interest the whole family, no matter how old or young. Trek the extensive grounds, covering 1000 acres of unspoilt countryside – open to the public all year.
Just a short distance from your lodge you will find the Sherwood forest. The walks and trails here cover al fitness levels, interest and durations, from short strolls to a whole day of exploring through the ancient oaks. The Sherwood Forest is a fond favourite for dog walks in Nottingham!
A must see destination on your lodge holiday in Nottinghamshire. As one of Britains most stunning Edwardian mansions, set in 500 acres of gardens and parklands, you pooch will love exploring the large park and woodland areas.
This award winning attraction is run by the Nottingham Wildlife Trust. Nature lovers will fall in love with the serenity of the Nottingham countryside. Don’t forget the binoculars – there are four bird hides where you can watch flocks of migrating birds. Dogs are welcome to wander the grounds but must be kept on a leash.
Spanning a whopping 33 miles, Grantham Canal stretches all the way from West Bridgeford right the way through to the town of Grantham in Lincolnshire! This walk really is amazing for dog walkers – perfect for all breeds. Along the way, you will find a number of pubs, one of our favourites is The Dirty Duck. The Dirty Duck also welcomes your four-legged friend, making it the perfect pit-stop!
A great 3 and a half mile countryside circular walk which starts and ends at the 18th century Royal Oak Pub. Breath in the fresh air and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life as you wander one of the largest greens the country has to offer.
