Our luxury lodges with hot tubs are ideally located in the tranquillity of the forest to enjoy a fishing holiday in the Sherwood Forest.

Thoresby Estate welcomes guests from Sherwood Hideaway to make full use of their private, members only fly fishing lake known as ‘Stans Lake’. Located approximately 1 mile from the hideaway, the lake offers the perfect set up for any avid fisherman! Not only are guests able to enjoy the stunning surroundings of Sherwood Forest, you are also able to gain access to enjoy fishing at Thoresby Lake when you come to stay!

The lake boasts over eight known species of fish including Carp, Brown and Rainbow Trout, Pike, Perch and Bream some of which are 30lbs plus check out some of the images of our successful fishermen via the website.

Costs are currently £20 per day for a pass.  (For a 4-7 day pass this is £50 (under 16’s are FREE))
