We’re continuing our amazing wildlife photography walks.
If you’re interested in photography and nature then this is the experience for you. Our ranger will take you into the forest and give hands on advise for capturing fabulous images of the landscape and animals in their natural environment.
Our wildlife photography walks have been featured in the Daily Telegraph, Manchester Evening News, Nottingham Post and more. Visit our news pages to see the reviews. The five-hour session starts with a briefing from expert falconer Simon Stacey, who flies the birds of prey throughout the day and provides a fascinating insight to each of the birds.
As you walk through the forest, Simon brings out different birds so you can test your skills through a range of scenarios, trying to capture the fast flying falcons, to taking imaginative portraits of a giant owl. Sessions are suitable for all standards of photographer - whether you are a beginner or expert, we'll tailor the day to meet your needs.
We are also offering new Falconry Days and weekly Hawk Walks - follow the link to find out more about these wonderful experiences. The photography experience lasts around five hours and costs £95 per lodge (has been discounted for Sherwood Hideaway guests), with groups limited to no more than eight. The minimum age for this activity is 12, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Refreshments are provided but candidates bring their own lunches. For more details and to book your space visit www.facebook.com/goactivefalconry quoting the Sherwood Hideaway to obtain your discount.
Please note that photography days are weather dependent and may be cancelled in event of heavy rain and strong winds. No refunds are available, however dates can be changed as a result of poor weather.
