Hawk Walks Through Sherwood Forest

The Sherwood Hideaway has teamed up with family-run falconry experts Go Active to launch amazing woodland hawk walks through Sherwood Forest.

Guests on the forest adventure will fly Harris Hawks through the pine and birch trees of Sherwood Forest, and learn how to call the birds of prey back so they perch on your arm. All equipment, including your glove and hawking vest, is provided.

Woodland hawk walks start from the Sherwood Hideaway reception and take place every Sunday at 11.30am. They cost £15 per person, with walks last for around one hour. All ages can take part.

Sherwood Hideaway guests can book directly with Go Active by emailing info@goactivefalconry.co.uk.

As well as guiding the fascinating hawks through the trees tops, expert Simon Stacey, founder of Go Active, will provide more information about the fascinating South American birds of prey, who are unusual for hunting in packs.

Please note that woodland hawk walks are weather dependent and may be cancelled in event of heavy rain and strong winds. No refunds are available, however dates can be changed as a result of poor weather.
